The 2018 Summer Series event makes its grand return to Somerset House, and one thing is certain: it’s set to be one of the highlights of this year’s UK festival season. The line-up for Summer Series, which takes place from July 5 – July 15, will feature a slew of acts ranging from Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid to MOBO Award nominated R&B artist Jorja Smith. Reflecting a mix of both international and homegrown artists, it's hard for us at MOBO to not be thrilled about just about everyone who will be there.

In looking at the roster, though, there are a few names that stand out as artists we really can't wait to see, whether it's because they're legendary, they have new music to perform, or they're promising up-and-comers. Take a look at who we're most looking forward to seeing across the eleven-night series.

Filmmaker, DJ, musician and broadcaster Don Letts curates a Summer Series special that charts the impact of bass culture in British music, from reggae to Grime. With live sets from MOBO Award-winner Wiley and Congo Natty and DJ sets from Jazzie B, Norman Jay MBE and Don Letts himself, this will be an EPIC celebration of the evolution of bass culture from the 1960s to the present day and its role in transforming the UK’s musical landscape.
