It's been close to two years since J. Cole released his fourth studio album, 4 Your Eyez Only. Outside of a few guest features and suprise appearances, the rapper has pretty much laid low on the music front. That's until now.
Last night (April 17), Cole announced a surprise free gig in New York (where phones and cameras were prohibited), which was quickly followed-up with a new album announcement. Arriving this Friday (April 20), the free event last night was, according to Miss Info, an exclusive listening party of his new album for fans.

While few details are know about the Dreamville MC's upcoming LP, Miss Info reports that K.O.D., which carries three different subtitles (King on Drugz, King Overdose and Kill Our Demoz), was recorded in 2 weeks and features 12 tracks. Possible guest spots are also a complete mystery, but judging by Cole's previous projects, artist features may be few and far between.
Check out highlights from the surprise event below.
