While we all wait with much anticipation for SZA to drop the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed 2017 album CTRL, the singer-songwriter is hinting that her next album may be her last.

Speaking with Flaunt Magazine, SZA, real name Solana Iamni Rowe, revealed writing and recording songs made her feel ‘caged’, prompting her to back away from the limelight. And while she also shared that she has ‘never felt more inspired’ – that feeling can sometimes be overwhelming.

‘My world got so much smaller so fast. I have so much to write about.”

She continued:

“I’m making the best album of my life for this next album and I know that… because it’s going to be my last album.”

*sheds tear*

While future albums from SZA may be up in the air, we hope this doesn’t signify an early retirement from the TDE songstress.
