A Whitney Houston hologram UK arena tour has been confirmed for 2020.

While rumours had been in circulation for some time about a planned hologram tour, the tour dates have finally been released. The shows will comprise of modern non-public holographic technology, a live band, back-up dancers and singers set to:

“state-of-the-art proprietary holographic technology and combined with unmatched Broadway theatrical stagecraft, a live band, back-up singers and dancers set to digitally remastered arrangements of her classic songs” while “the production will be helmed by acclaimed choreographer Fatima Robinson”.

Base Hologram, the company putting on the show, are originating a new type of concert experience by combining it with theatrical elements. Their aim is to “capture that magic” Whitney Houston used to make.

The Chairman & CEO of BASE Entertainment and BASE Hologram Brian Becker added:

“When she performed there was an unmatched level of charisma and emotion to it – that’s what we are going to bring to the audiences and it’s an honour to be able to help add to her legacy with this project”.

The famous actress and soul legend died at the age of 48 in 2012. She was found unconscious in a Hotel in Beverly Hills. The cause of death was declared as drowning integrated with the “effects of atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use”.

Even though the singer passed away, “her music will live with us forever”, Whitney’s former Manager and President and CEO of The Estate of Whitney E. Houston said. He stated that it was the right decision partnering with BASE because they would understand how important it would be to produce a phenomenal hologram.

Furthermore, the company “know[s] that engaging her fans with an authentic Whitney experience would resonate worldwide because of the iconic status that she created over three decades. Her fans deserve nothing less because she gave nothing less than her best”.

Her fans can get tickets from next Friday (September 20) and can choose between 12 dates and venues, including Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and London.
