The Liverpool R&B group MiC Lowry have done it! With their impressive harmonies and vocals, these boys have sang their way straight to number one and won the 2014 MOBO UnSung competition!

This five-piece male group, which includes Kaine Ofoeme, Akia Jones, Delleile Ankrah, Michael Welch and Ben Sharples, first formed back in 2011 by a local music development company named Positive Impact...and what an impact they’ve made.

In just a few years, the boys have quickly gained a strong following with over 110,000 Facebook likes, 29,000 Twitter followers and over a million views on YouTube.  Each of our MOBO UnSung top ten finalists were talented but as there can only be one winner, MiC Lowry certainly have proved to be worthy champions. They are now even getting ready to release their brand new EP in May with their leading single, Tuxedo.

Now what’s the prize? First off, they get bragging rights for the year until the next season. But what’s even better is they are also going to be the headline act in our MOBO UnSung Tour happening across 6 UK cities: Brighton, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and London. They will be joined by runner up finalists Tiana Major 9 and YJ along with other performing members of the MOBO UnSung Class of 2014 include Blizzard, Eyez, Hayley May, J The Exodus, One 50 and Geovarn.

With special guests lined up, you won’t want to miss this tour! Click HERE for details.

And a big congratulations to MiC Lowry. Well done, guys!
