Established in 2016, the MOBO Trust is the charitable arm of MOBO, created to support and uplift exceptional talent from underrepresented backgrounds across the creative industries. From music and theatre to broader cultural spaces, the Trust works to break down barriers, unlock opportunities, and build pathways to long-term success.
In partnership with organisations like Help Musicians, the Trust has helped award close to £1 million in funding to musicians creating music of Black origin — supporting career development through funding, mentoring, and hands-on guidance. As MOBO approaches its 30th anniversary, the Trust is expanding its work through bold new initiatives that will continue to drive representation, access, and lasting change across the sector.
