2020 has been a year of both awakening and new beginnings. From recent events demonstrating the devastating impact of structural inequality to the hard-hitting outcomes of COVID-19, unity and togetherness has become more essential more than ever. The MOBO ethos is to bring people together through the power of black culture and this is prevalent now more than ever.

Alongside the MOBO Awards, which we’re looking forward to sharing exciting announcements about soon, another strand of action relating to our mission statement has been the enhancement of the MOBO Help Musicians Fund, which is dedicated to providing talented musicians with crucial development and financial support at a time when they need it the most.

Having run four hugely successful rounds of the MOBO Help Musicians Fund since 2017, resulting in 75 projects receiving support and growing from a £20,000 fund to £100,000 in recent times, we’re thrilled to join forces with Help Musicians once again this year for another instalment of the MOBO Help Musicians Fund.

We’re proud to say that MOBO has been shining a light on the most exciting talent for over two decades. From global superstars to hometown heroes, initiatives like the MOBO Help Musicians Fund exemplifies why it is important for us to continue to back the next generation of superstars.
