MOBO UNSUNG FINALISTS TO PERFORM AT EXCLUSIVE NEWCASTLE SHOWCASE DURING MOBO FRINGE FESTIVAL AHEAD OF THE 
2025 MOBO AWARDS

LONDON – 11 FEBRUARY 2025 – Meet the future of British music. MOBO has unveiled its MOBO UnSung Class of 2025, a handpicked selection of 10 of the UK’s most exciting new artists, set to receive career-changing opportunities as part of one of the country’s leading talent development programmes.

From soul-stirring vocalists and electrifying rappers to genre-blending visionaries, this year’s finalists showcase the next wave of game-changing talent. The MOBO UnSung Class of 2025 are:

This year’s finalists will embark on a nine-month artist development programme, receiving invaluable mentorship, studio time, marketing and promotional support, live performance opportunities, financial grants, legal and business training, networking with industry professionals, and more.

They will also take centre stage in Newcastle on 17 February 2025, performing at a MOBO UnSung Showcase as part of the MOBO Fringe Festival—a key highlight in the lead-up to the 2025 MOBO Awards on 18 February.

In today’s digital landscape, Canva will equip finalists with the tools to master visual storytelling, delivering tailored training sessions to enhance their online presence and creative branding. Meanwhile, Vevo will shine a global spotlight on these rising stars through its highly regarded DSCVR programme, providing editorial and marketing support to introduce MOBO UnSung talent to an even wider audience. 

Beyond creative development, Help Musicians will provide essential financial and business support, ensuring that each artist has the resources to focus on their craft without financial barriers. Additionally, BBC Music Introducing will offer valuable national radio exposure, giving finalists the chance to reach new audiences across the UK and further establish their presence in the industry.

This dynamic network of partners ensures that the MOBO UnSung Class of 2025 will not only develop their artistry but also receive the business, branding, and industry connections they need to thrive as the next generation of breakthrough music stars.

With an impressive track record of alumni who have gone on to win awards, secure major label deals, and build successful careers, MOBO UnSung remains at the forefront of discovering and nurturing the UK’s best new talent. Over the years, the programme has played a role in launching the careers of some of today’s most celebrated artists.

Jordan Adetunji, a MOBO UnSung Class of 2022 finalist, has since earned both MOBO Awards and Grammy nominations, marking him as one of the most exciting new artists on the rise. Tiana Major9, another UnSung alum, has firmly established herself as an R&B powerhouse, garnering critical acclaim and a devoted fanbase. Juls, who was part of the MOBO UnSung journey early in his career, is now a MOBO Award nominee for Best Producer in 2025, cementing his status as one of the most influential producers in the game. Meanwhile, Tion Wayne, a former MOBO UnSung finalist, has gone on to become a MOBO Award winner and one of the UK’s biggest rap stars, dominating charts and festivals alike.

With such a rich history of discovering breakthrough talent, the MOBO UnSung Class of 2025 is set to follow in their footsteps, with this year’s finalists on course to leave their mark on the industry.
